Wicklow: Liam and Robert’s Universe

Cndkmen hasn’t explored parallel universes before, but what the heck. It’s probably time for some narrative experimentation! Another trip we took from Dublin was 3 days/ 2 nights in Wicklow. Liam and Robert walked along the Wicklow Way, while Miles, John and I stayed in B&Bs and did shorter trips also in Wicklow. So these two posts will run parallel… first Liam and Robert’s Universe.

They did 3 days of walks along the Wicklow Way. Here’s one of their map pages:

And excellent waymarking signs along the path:

We dropped them off on the first day at Pier Gates. Miles is in the photo just for fun.

They walked to From Pier Gates to Glendalough the first day

And respected all dog / sheep / worrying situations

The next day they walked from Glendalough to Glenmalure, then the third day from Glenmalure to a designated point we had set at the beginning of the trip, where we met them. The scenery varied from open to forested. The nice thing about the Wicklow Way is that there are hostels, inns and pubs along the way so you don’t have to carry tents or food.

  1. Like the Wicklow Way walks Liam and Robert took. Again so many routes to choose from.
