Lots of summer fun happening here! I went out for a cycle and run in humboldt Park after work yesterday and it was really beautiful. Sorry chance the snapper is missing it!

A few weeks ago John and I went to one evening of the pitchfork music festival in union park. It was temporarily evacuated due to a storm so we headed to a brewery area nearby until they reopened. Hoping to go back to that area this summer, the breweries along Hubbard are really nice!

Above, new mural along California by Augusta, the Isley Brothers, cta cooling buses and the crowd at pitchfork. The festival opened in a heatwave and they had air conditioned buses parked inside the festival grounds for people to get inside to cool off, nice solution I thought! The storm I mentioned cooled the temps considerably and it was really pleasant when we went. The Isley brothers put on a great show and belle and Sebastian were also great.
I mentioned chance the snapper above, and realize I haven’t gone into the biggest news in July which was having an alligator on the loose on humboldt Park. Will work up a summary but in the meantime, I’ll just say that it really brought out chicagoans’ wit and creativity!

The wildflowers in Humboldt Park are lovely!
The bus is a great idea! And agree with Mary… lovely wildflowers… based on Ireland I feel like the whole of the northern hemisphere might be doing more for bees than we are down here!
Hope you have a pic of that gator 😂
