Miles and I got to visit Debbie, Jeff and Maddie in Florida earlier this month and we had a great time! We arrived pretty late at night, but she was happy to see us when we woke up in the morning.
She sang us a lovely song. Maddie really likes to sing.
We went to Maddie’s gymnastics class on Saturday morning, then stopped by Wal-Mart for a few things on the way home. We had a little aunt / niece time in the shoe section.
Miles and Maddie did ipad puzzles together. See the paw patrol figures on the couch, we had a lot of fun playing with those!
Debbie and Jeff put a cat ears headband on Maddie when it’s time to put sunblock on her face. Miles decided to give the cat ears a try too…
We went to a nature center on Sunday. Here’s Debbie, Maddie and Jeff on our walk through butterfly island. We saw iguanas, butterflies, and lots of crabs.
And palm trees of course!

We went to the beach Sunday afternoon and narrowly missed a weather system just inland. We had some fun swimming before the rain hit the beach. The Atlantic Ocean by Fort Lauderdale is really warm! Says this person who has been swimming in Lake Michigan.
Monday was Jeff’s birthday and we had cupcakes. Happy birthday, Jeff!
