We drove to Urbana-Champaign today to bring him a few things, take him to lunch, see how his house is progressing, and give him lots of hugs! Here are a few scenes in front of his house.
For this one we turned around and positioned ourself with the neighbor across the street’s well-planted garden in the background. Thanks, neighbor!
It was great to see Liam and have some delicious Urbana BBQ at Black Dog with him. Hope he enjoys the extra pillows, warm blanket, Dave Brubeck albums (thanks, Nana and Grandpa, original owners of those!) and Frank sculpture we brought. We also had a lovely time walking around the university botanical garden. Liam and Miles amused themselves on the way there.
Now, I don’t expect anyone would drive across central Illinois just to see some amazing clouds, but I wouldn’t blame anyone who did. It was pretty out there today.

We enjoyed seeing the photos from your trip to see Liam! Great photos of you all. The house looks so nice. I bet everyone enjoyed lunch, too. Those clouds were interesting. One thing I like about the Midwest is the interesting, and sometimes dramatic, weather.
