The Gorskis were in town again over the Christmas break and we all met up over at Annette and Dave’s house on Dec 30, for dinner this time. This is becoming a common theme, but I didn’t take photos. Goal for 2015, remember to take photos! It was a lot of fun catching up with everyone. We enjoyed playing with Sylvie, Nadia, Ben, and Will, and their parents too. Will is really good at the app trivia game “Heads Up”! Annette and Dave made two delicious Indian dishes with rice and quinoa, and a salad and fruit. We also had cake balls and Serbian desserts from a nearby bakery.
Liam and his college friend Eric who is visiting from St Louis didn’t join us for most of the evening because they were recovering from a winter camping trip to Starved Rock the night before. The boundary waters group of friends all decided to go camping together — unfortunately they chose the night that the temperature dropped from a very moderate upper 30s F to well below freezing. They were pretty cold all night but survived 🙂 After warming up at home and a brief and unsuccessful attempt to air the campfire smell out of their coats, they drove back up to Annette’s neighborhood and picked us up.
In lieu of photos of the event, here are the three family Christmas cards so we can document how everyone looked in 2014! The only people not pictured are Amber and the two Erics. Will try to get a group photo next year!
Glad you all had fun catching up & Liam and co survived camping! Meant to say before that we really liked your xmas card… In one of our photo frames we have a photo of Liam with us reflected in the bean… He has a big dufflecoat on and is around 7 I’d say!

Its lovely to see Annette and the Gorskis – all great photos and glad you had a nice time together! That’s sounds really cold for Liam!! Glad ye survived it – you’re very brave!
