We celebrated a lot of February birthdays, including Phyllis (Feb 9), Grandpa (Feb 14), Isabelle (Feb 22) and Grandad (Feb 26.) And of course Lincoln and Darwin (Feb 12, 1809)! Check out the photo album of photos of Grandpa, including a 4-generation photo taken when Herb was hmmm maybe 4 or 5? http://Herb Archive

It's so fun going out to breakfast with Liam because he takes your picture and does weird stuff to it and next thing you look like the costume designer on The Incredibles.

Miles took 3 days of ski lessons with Rizzo. Rizzo is originally from Wisconsin but talks like a surfer, and he is one great ski instructor. They went up on a chair lift before lunch on the first day of lessons, and by the 3rd day they even skiied down a blue run! Miles is now one of those kids that I've seen going down steep runs, tips of skiis together to form a triangle or pizza as they call it, no poles, completely calm and in control. See the red things strapped onto their legs? They are GPS devices…

Liam's insightful comment in the flattish Woodwinds Traverse run: "Leaning forward is like pressing the gas pedal." Here Liam is skiing with the Rand McNally Traveling Teddy, who came on the trip with us. Download MVI_1127
