Its hard to choose which shots of Campeche are prettiest. We also had a lot of fun exploring the city walls, and visiting the cities cafes, very upscale compared to the Mayan towns

Campeche, an old colonial Spanish town, was by far the prettiest we visited, and a UNESCO world heritage spot, it was all lit up for Chirstmas, with beautiful colored buildings in the old part of town, surrounded by city walls designed to stop it being taken over by pirates in the 1700s

The most fun part of every site was climbing the Mayan pyramids. This was our first, Coba, near Tulum, its hard to sense just how steep this was, (60meters) but at least they had a rope at this one. Coming down was the scariest part

Our favorite beach in Mexico was definitely one of our first, near the ancient Mayan port town of Tulum, the sand was perfect for building sandcastles which kept Miles busy for a while

Happy new year! Here we are at Agua Azul in Chiapas, a few days before the New Year. Agua Azul was amazing–an incredible series of very wide waterfalls and beautiful bright blue water (from minerals in the water.) Lots more photos to come!
