We had a major shopping trip to IKEA on Saturday and finally got everything assembled. It's so cool and comfortable down there in the basement now!

We took a lovely long walk around Howth. This view from Deer Park, looking west toward Sutton (the isthmus) is always nice to see, esp on a spectacular day like we had. That's Portmarnock Beach to the right.

When we got back from High Rock, Phyllis, Paul, Isabelle, Isaac and James were waiting for us. They had lots of fun playing in the Kennys' stunning garden!

There's a new park area called Paddy's Field that leads down to the High Rock. We went down for a visit after waking up from our post-transatlantic flight naps last Monday. Here's John and Miles walking through Paddy's Field John at High Rock. He commented that it didn't seem as high as it used to! I'm glad you readers made sense of the last several blog posts! It was a really busy day and I posted stuff from several days at once, as I'm sure you noticed, not in any particular order. Two items I neglected to mention, our pet snake Skittles died yesterday 🙁 and the painters were in working on the dining room. Photos to come once the whole job is done!

Vegetable garden covered by a net to discourage the starlings. However, I caught a squirrel yesterday on top of the net, weighing it down and munching on the red pepper plants! (yes neighbors that's what I was referring to when I shouted "Ah ha! It's you! Get OUT!" I was thinking a neighborhood cat was eating the spinach.) However it seems that squirrels don't like tomatoes or cilantro. They may just become my 2 best crops. Lots of rain, everything is very green. The oak leaf hydrangea is doing great! The flowers are coming out very nicely.
