Mushroom update–we did not harvest in time and the mushrooms turned really dried out as fast as they grew. We’re trying to harvest the other side of the box now–and will be prepared to harvest and eat mushrooms immediately upon ripening this time! Debbie was here about 2 weeks ago…

Update on the mushroom growing project: wow. Tremendous fungal activity. Check out the mushrooms now! Hmmm where to begin. Our latest farming project is growing pearl mushrooms! We got this kit from a company called back to the roots. They start mushroom roots in coffee grounds and sell the box…

We went to the MCA a few weels ago and had a great time. This show called “without you i’m nothing” shows how the user is a part of art works. The pieces are very interactive–as you can see from this pic we could even get inside some of them!

From the last few weeks… my last day at Rand The app works like a calendar with a new picture every day. I used all these little printed pictures to decide on the order to display them.

Myself, Liam and Miles got tickets through work to see the professional bull riders’ show when they came into town yesterday.  We had great seats and they put on a great show.  I haven’t been to a regular rodeo, but this one was all glam and pyrotechnics, a packed night…

This photo was taken a few minutes before Miles went into his test for music.  I was able to sit in with him and he did a great job.  We’re waiting on the results and should get them next week

John made a delicious breakfast this morning–huevos rancheros or Mexican scrambled eggs. I only wish I could have gotten a pic of Liam licking his plate!

What often passes for snow removal is really ‘pushing snow from the center of the road to the edges’. Today the city is engaging in some serious removal. Backhoes and trucks are everywhere, picking up mountains of snow on street corners especially and filling the trucks. I’m not sure about…
