With the weather turning nice, new bike lanes all the way down to the lake and her new bike bag, Cynthia is commuting by bike, all 14 miles each way!

Over a month ago, we went to a really lovely evening performance event in Humboldt Park, and I just remembered that I never posted a photo of it. A performance group called Operamatic led a parade through the park at dusk, around the lagoon, while a boat in the lagoon carried a large sleeping moon shape. We stopped about halfway around the lagoon and sang a song then shouted “wake up, moon!” repeatedly until the projected face on the moon yawned and woke up and smiled at us. This morning I went down to meet Sarah for yoga in Millenium Park (yay, that means it is summer!) and saw half of the Jun Kaneko sculpture exhibit there. This half shows the Tanuki figures that Kaneko has been making.
