Cindy, Liam and Miles caught the holiday train today with our friends Sarah, Alexander and Thomas West. It was so sparkly, festive, and fun! Santa rode along on his sleigh, which was toward the middle of the train, and he was very enthusiastic about helping us out with some photos.…

Lots of fun putting up our christmas tree, with a few new decorations. What’s really great is the speed of putting up our atifical tree (and not having to go shopping for one). Little or no guilt about that one!/

These are a few pictures of Liam’s diorama that he made for his class project on Native Americans. Liam chose to do his project on the ancestral publoen peoples at Mesa Verde, where we visited in August. It shows the publoens tending to their corn fields, pumpkins and domesticated turkeys…

Robin was beset with a series of trials on day three of the hike, but he battled through!  One of the nicest part of the trip (besides the sight of the shelters and dinner at the end of the day) was volunteer park ranger Alma was offered to pick us…

Myself and Robin saw some great views on our recent hike through the Smokey mountains, including a bear!  The shelters were great, eliminating any need to bring in a tent or water, and we met a whole bunch of really nice hikers along the way, but rarely more than one…
