We took a several day trip to NYC to look at a few colleges and to otherwise enjoy the second greatest city in the world (to paraphrase Hamilton and turn the tables on the usual second city descriptor!) before our first tour we visited the museum of the city of New York, where we were very impressed by their exhibits, including this light art piece and a stairwell full of quotes and images.
No argument here!
Another site we visited was the charging bull sculpture on Wall Street. This has gotten a lot of attention lately because a sculpture of a little girl has been placed facing it, changing the viewer’s experience to one of a girl fearlessly standing up to capitalism. However it wasn’t possible to see them much at all with all of the other people around.

Here’s another level of art for you, self portrait of viewer surrounded by other viewers. The art is in there but mostly obscured. Meta!

All stairwells should have art. Beautiful light design. I had not pictured the bull and the little girl sculptures with all the people. Looks more like the running of the bulls, only no one is running.
Woah how busy is Wall Street!!! Nice stairwells!
