Miles had a great time on his outdoors trip to the coast and arrived back at Lewis and Clark on Tuesday. He had time to get partially settled in and meet up with new friends, then we flew out to Portland on Wednesday for orientation activities.
Miles’s residence hall is called Spruce, and it’s in the Forest Halls group. Still early days on decorations!

Beatrice sent us with cookies for her ‘little Milo’!

After a trip to Fred Meyer (big super store chain in the west) we split for different activities and then John and I drive to our very unique hotel in Portland, the Tiny House Hotel. If you’re interested check out their website here, it does a way better job at explaining the concept than I can! We stayed in Pacifica, the tiny house behind John. He’s sitting at the communal fire pit (thank goodness not lit, it was super hot out – 94 degrees!)

There are s’mores supplies in the s’mores drawers, lovely plantings, and a caboose tiny house!

This residence around the corner has an amazing garden. We’re in the Alberta Street neighborhood which is super cute. Off to more orientation activities today, more later!

This college is going to be a great experience for Miles! Those tiny houses look like a great place to stay!
