We continued on by train to Milan and arrived in the early evening and took a taxi to our hotel. We stayed in the fashion district, which is closer to where our friends Matthew and Patricia were, in the very trendy hotel hnow. That’s not a typo! I think it’s said ‘now’.
Check out the daring design choices!

We had a drink and nibble at the rooftop bar

We then walked over to the restaurant the out friends suggested, seeing a fashion show, paparazzi waiting for celebrities to drive by, and a lively area along a canal that reminded us of areas in Portland and wicker park.

We went to a lively and simple place for dinner and had fish. So wonderfully cooked and delicious! Then we walked to gelato and a young fashionista took our photo

And back to our hotel. Hope to see Matthew and Patricia again soon! In the morning we didn’t have a ton of time before our train to bologna so we decided to prioritize breakfast (which turned up as a free perk with our hotel room!) and then a swim in the rooftop pool.
This hotel pool is amazing. Really incredible.

Swimming complete, we returned to the train station to take this fancy high speed train to Bologna!

That is the ultimate in swimming pools!!! Now I can’t see why you opted for the pool over the Duomo!
Glad you agree with our choice! Wish there was a pool here in Bologna, it’s hot!
Amazing pool! Hard to comment on anything else!
