Miles lost a front tooth yesterday. It wasn’t loose but fortunately it was a baby tooth so his permanent tooth underneath should be fine (but it may be a while before it grows in!)
The two witnesses to the incident, Liam and Miles, were interviewed separately and their stories match. Apparently they were playing a game in which Liam would hit Miles in the back of the head with a pillow. This game was going great and both were enjoying it until Miles positioned his head too close to a door knob. Neither could recall why he did this. One round of the game with the head near the door knob, and the tooth was knocked out.
When we got Miles mopped up and figured out that his tooth was missing, Liam suggested that maybe Miles had swallowed it. This caused Miles to wail and shake, and so Liam was sent off to find the tooth at the scene of the incident. He found the tooth on the floor by the hallway closet. Miles put the tooth under his pillow last night and the tooth fairy left $3, not a lot if you are converting it into Euro, but still the largest tooth fairy amount we’ve ever seen.
That game sounds like it was always going to end with some sort of an accident! Glad the tooth was located & the tooth fairy so generous!
