We had a lovely meet up with Kathleen and Cyril at the Sydney Fish Market on the second Monday of our stay. Great catching up with them over the catch of the day – fish and chips and pacific oysters!

Kathleen was so kind to bake us a Christmas cake for next year, which I can happily report I successfully got through security at LAX! The guard asked what was in the cake to make it feel so soft and was very surprised to hear that whiskey is the magic ingredient. Angelenos may be eating a whole different type of fruitcake starting in 2016!
But back to the fish market, these guys could be in a band they look so cool!

After the fish market we had a stroll on the Goods Line, Sydney’s elevated walkway like the NY high line and the Chicago 606. The goods line is in its first stage of construction with more development to come.

Lord of the fries is not on the goods line but nearby. Funny name.

Frank Gehry designed building along the goods line
Lots of construction in Sydney, especially in this area where convention facilities are being built.
Good that you got the Christmas cake through security without having to bribe the agent with a slice of it! Sydney looks like such a great city, with the Sydney Fish Market, Goods Line, the Frank Gehry building. Clever name for “Lord of the Fries,” a take on *Lord of the Flies.*
Thought of you Cindy when we visited Frank Gehry building-most unusual thought you would appreciate it. Most unusual features inside the building/university too.
