We had a lot going on in May! Liam joined us in Sawyer for a very nice overnight and Mother’s Day visit.

Painterly sunsets (different day and beach but still Michigan)

Baby animals are a delight in May. In order that they were spotted, teenaged goslings in Humboldt park

Teeny tiny wood ducks with their mom in the lagoon at Humboldt park

And a fawn in the garden in sawyer! It even stayed overnight, curled up outside the outdoor shower!

Blog readers may know her as mom, Mary or nana, and she turned 80 years young this month. Happy birthday, mom! We celebrated at brunch in Naperville. Thanks to Freddie who served us a fantastic meal, brought a bday pancake out, and took our group photo!

The same group (but without Liam or Freddie) met in sawyer for Memorial Day / bank holiday weekend. We went on walks at the beach, visited fernwood botanical garden, and tabor hill winery, had some good meals, played bocce ball, relaxed in the hot tub, all the good stuff! Thanks all for visiting and for signing the guest book!

Fernwood gardens

The month of May was fantastic! It included everything from a newborn fawn to, well, my 80th birthday! Those sunsets over Lake Michigan are so beautiful!
I missed this post originally but happy birthday Mary! Great pics
