Miles and Will both took the day off camp today and we went to Ohio Street Beach. They swam and played in the sand and I waded around and read an entire issue of the New Yorker. Great day!!!
This is taken from a viewing point in Olive Park / aka the water purification plant, looking toward Ohio Street Beach. What a great beach! What a great city!
Clumps of a grassy seaweed were floating in the water and the boys tried swimming under the clumps.
Pretty! Geometric!
Curvy! Thrilling! Miles and Will are in the double chair in the bottom center of the photo. Will has on a red shirt and Miles has on green. They're both barefoot–anyone with loose shoes takes them off so they don't go flying when the ride gets going!
Miles (in red, see note below) and Will (no shirt) in the Navy Pier fountain. Remember when THIS was the fountain to play in, before Millenium Park? They were very happy to get soaked again before we got on the bus to go home.
(Miles had 2 shirts with him, red = wet and green = dry)
Love the photo of the chair/merry-go-round (I can’t think of the proper name for it!). Glad to see the boys having fun in the sun!
I think the official phrase for this type of thing is “Funemployed”
I think of it as “funderemployed” 🙂
That looks like soooo much fun!
Great to see boys having such a good time.
