After a hearty meal of oranges slices, peaches, and little cubes of beef tenderloin, it was time for Fiona to go to bed. She got changed into her pajamas, definitely the most festive outfit spotted all evening, and did a few dashes up and down the hall, then very cheerfully went to sleep in the spare room. In the end we made a pumpkin bourbon cheesecake with a white frosting that served as a perfect base for our snow scene. We’ll start earlier on the Christmas Cake next year! Here’s the Grove and Kenny kids with the cake. (Doesn’t the cowboy hat suit Ellen?)
