You might have noticed that I only mentioned one swim in days 1 & 2, which means I didn’t swim on Wednesday! Big mistake, one that I set out to correct on Thursday. I watched my time more closely and finished up work at 6, walked with John to the seafront, and swam at the public beach.

Then back to the hotel to shower and change, and out again for a stroll before dinner. I went to the old city, the neighborhood called Le Sequet, that sits up very high on a hill.

We had a really fun meal out with John’s colleagues on Thursday evening (we shared a massive seafood platter then I had a salad Niçoise), and Friday was very much the same pattern. No photos of my Friday swim but it was delightful, and buses wrapped in this design were parked near the beach.

Lovely couple of days in Cannes! We are now on a train journey from Cannes to Milan. The first leg was Cannes to Ventimiglio, and the stations we went through were very unassuming until we got to a very modern and huge station. Monaco! Will post this now and let Italy have its own post!

The thing that caught my eye is that unusual plant/bush/vine with the purple flowers!
Also the cool bus with the art work on it!
That is a very cool plant! Looks like a lovely few days. Enjoy Italy!
