Maybe it's because this July is the coolest in 118 years but these black-eyed susans are sure taking their time. They've been at this stage for weeks!
But today this one showed signs of opening. Maybe tomorrow…

The two cherry tomato plants are full of tomatoes. 4 have ripened and been eaten, they're good!
This is a large tomato variety called a "mortgage buster." Of two plants, only one tomato has started growing. Why would a tomato be a mortgage buster? I don't get it. I also don't get why these tomato plants aren't tomato-ing.

At least the black eyed susans didn’t bloom the day after we left… looks like they’re getting there though!
Yes they look good and are getting there. You must be patient.
Tomatoes are a good size. Bet they taste good.
