Maddie was in her first ballet recital this weekend and we were delighted to be invited! She’s right in the middle here, 6 from the left and the right. They were on a big stage with professional lighting and a big audience. Maddie and all the kids did great!
Her group ended on a nicely gathered moment, with Maddie in the second row, second from right.
After all the groups performed, they all came back on stage for a combined curtain call.
After we took some photos outside. Here’s Miles and Maddie with her bouquet from our local Adams – great florists and great cousin moment!
We then went for pizza in downtown Naperville, and then to check out a kite festival. This big squid (?) kite was really cool, and the red kite above it is actually helping hold it up.

Wonderful photos from ballet recital day! Beautiful costumes, and so nice for Maddie to get the bouquet of flowers. There was a kite fest near here recently and the large squid kites would have benefitted from a smaller auxiliary kite.6
Thanks, everyone! Maddie actually had 2 bouquets of flowers 🙂 I just wanted a photo of her with the ones I got near our house because the florist asked me to come back in with a pic!
