I’m in India this week as part of FCB’s global conference in Mumbai, but myself and a few co-workers decided it would be more pleasant to acclimatize to the time zone in Goa rather than Mumbai, so we’re spending a couple of days there before the conference starts on Monday.
Our hotel is right up on the Indian Ocean and is really nice, a perfect place to relax for a few days and enjoy the sights of this part of India, that was actually part of Portugal until the 1960s.

As part of that Portuguese heritage (which dates back to the 1600s) there is a lot of Portuguese influence, including the architecture and food.

One of the highlights was the visit to a local spice farm where they grow allspice, cinnamon, cashews, cardamon, and pepper. Our guide was really great and here she is explaining where cashews come from:

Its also St Patrick’s day today, and while the rest of town seems to not be paying attention, our hotel has a Jameson, so clearly Robert Scannell’s work from a couple of years ago is still living on strong!

Looks stunning John! That’s funny about the Jameson’s… happy st Patrick’s day from a soggy Sydney!
What an interesting place! It must have been great to visit the spice farm.
Looks like a lovely place Johm. The spice farm must have been amazing.
Good to see the old Jameson up there with the best of them.
Hi John, Its wonderful that you are getting to spend that time in Goa – a very beautiful place I hear. Also a huge Congratulations to Miles on doing so well at the Junior Citizen – you look fantastic in your suit and I can see Mum postively glowing too!!
Goa looks great John, hope you had a great trip.
