Winter week and Maddie

I thought I’d do a post to share some photos I took recently and also show our visit from Maddie last weekend.

Jeff dropped Maddie over Saturday afternoon and we had a lot of fun playing some new (to Maddie! Nice to rediscover for us!) games. There’s a photo from years ago of Colette and Colman playing this one, rivers, roads and rails, that I need to dig up as a callback.

debbie got off work that evening and came over too. she treated us to breakfast at flying saucer the next morning, then we went to the art institute.

after debbie and maddie left to go home i went to the gym, spotting this cool view from the green line platform.

swirching to my commute but still on the topic of other interesting sights from el platforms, South Dakota has painted a pretty witty mural by the Western blue line. the left side is a bit obscured but it reads — all horns no honking.

this dog lives on Thomas Street and i like passing him in the mornings. Other dogs are shivering in their coats and boots this time of year but he doesn’t mind the cold at all (being a husky)

someone on hoyne in wicker park has chickens! another nice sight on my way to the train.

  1. Nice pics and fun to have a little visit with Maddie (would be funny to see that old shot of us!). Great slogan too

  2. I’m sure Maddie enjoyed her visit with you! Good thing you have a long table for the game. Nice scenes around town!
