We had a lovely Thanksgiving weekend last week with lots of people in from out of town! A few hours after the Turkey Trot, Debbie drove Nana and Grandpa, who had been staying with Debbie and Maddie in Naperville, to our house. We had some time to catch up and play cowboys (that would be me and Maddie!) before starting dinner prep. Here, we are taking a bit of a break from dinner prep to play with space glitter play dog and eat oregano-parmesan crimson popcorn. The bag of popcorn and recipe was a treat from the bean club!
I don’t remember which part of dinner Miles helped with, but thanks, Miles! Evidence here is that he was in the kitchen!
Liam and Kat brought an apple pie with lattice top (!) and cranberry sauce. I somehow took no photos of food! Aaggg! It was delicious though.

And like I said, I forgot to take photos of the meal. It was really good though, and great to have everyone around! The next day, everyone who wasn’t in the 17-23 year old range went to the Garfield Park Conservatory. Their holiday room is themed “tickled pink” and they have it filled with pink poinsettias.
