Cindy here typing with input from our pizza-eating James and cake ball-munching Issac!
We’re going to depart from chronological posting to catch up on some photos that we wanted to share. Last week, John and I took Isabelle, Issac and James to the Museum of Science and Industry, while Paul and Phyllis met Pual’s friend Johnny Mac and his wife. At the MSI, we spent some time in the storms exhibit. “It was thrilling!” said Issac. “It was the stormest and enormest!” said James. “Interactive!” added Isabelle.
James really likes swim goggles, so we were sure to point out these scientific goggles to him.
The electricity area was also very good.
The train area was a treat to visit as always. One section shows a typical Chicago neighborhood, with little workers cottages like our house!
Another fun activity this week was seeing a movie in millennium park. We saw Man on Wire, a documentary about Philip Petit’s walk across a high wire stretched across World Trade Center buildings when they were just being built in the 1970s. The program started out with a live high wire performance by the Wallenda family of high wire walkers! Very exciting!
a few of us had seen the movie before but we forgot Petit’s walk across the harbor bridge in Sydney.
Then on to New York!
I’m having some editing issues… but to summarize the above photos thanks Sarah for taking our Bean pic! And in our way home we found a sign for the pups (that’s for you Rory!) and back to the Museum of science and industry for the Pixar exhibit. Very much enjoyed by James!
Great photos! So much to see in Chicago. Super that you got to see a live performance by the Wallenda family at Millennium Park!
What a great time all the Brennan’s are having in Chicago. Thanks for all the lovely photos.
We really had a ball!!! Hard to believe we did so much. Thank you Cindy & John & Miles for giving us such beautiful memories !
