We had a lovely July, great summer weather, birthdays and visitors. Here are a couple of my favorite muse, the lake.

Back patio at dark matter coffee on a weekday morning when I stopped in there after running, on a work from home day when I didn’t have a commute so going in for a coffee was a treat.
Maddie, Debbie and Jeff came to Chicago toward the end of the month. While Debbie and Jeff went on some fact finding missions in the area, we took maddie to Maggie Daley park, chicagos best playground.
To a Japanese restaurant on Michigan avenue for lunch, where we learned how much she likes edamame and caviar!
We also visited smith park, where we’d spent a lot of time over the years with Liam and miles.
They still love it!
But there’s nothing like getting home for a game of cowboy town.

Your posts are making me excited about our trip! Rory will love the cat murals in that cafe! And I’m laughing as those two pics of Maddie at the playground on the enclosed slide and giant swing are probably the two last things Rory would go on… recently had that chance and was not keen! He’d prefer the ride on equipment the boys were on!
Maddie says that her favorite city is Chicago because that’s where Aunt Cindy lives 🙂 We had a great time and thanks again for your hospitality and for watching Maddie!!
