Better get this posted while it’s still May. First, we were very saddened by the news from Douglas this month, and hope that fond memories of Veronica will be a comfort to all who were lucky to know her.
I’ve been getting our houseplants repotted, which proved to be a good rainy weekend day activity this month. The center plant here was Liam’s and it had a repotting emergency when the wind blew it off the windowsill and the old pot broke.
Miles and I walked to Humboldt Park after dinner and caught this slightly different view from the one from the boathouse. Love the lagoon!
Check out the excellent parking job by Miles! He’s started practicing driving and enjoys the challenge of parallel parking so much he will drive past our house in search of a more difficult spot.

John made a big green egg favorite this month – grilled pizza!
Leaves all sprouted this month.
Our staff photographer at work took this sample shot of me while we were out location scouting.
We went to Hamilton. Speechless (unlike Alexander Hamilton who was advised by Aaron Burr in the play to talk less, smile more…). Soooo good!
Really? Librarians have to deal with these stereotypes? We are more than a steady and reassuring choice.
Stay tuned for June… we hope to report on final results of Miles’s Presidential Debate Brackets from his US History class and much more!

That is a very last minute “may” post when we’re already in June! Already looking forward to seeing Humboldt park and having pizza when we’re over!
