We went to a performance by the Shaolin Chinese Kung Fu Troupe this evening. They warmed up by getting some volunteers from the audience to learn a few martial arts moves. The close-up pictures are pretty blurry–I was trying to use the zoom on my phone but must have gotten something wrong–but thought the attention Miles was getting was pretty cute.
The Kung Fu Troupe does a lot of gymnastics and fancy moves with very dangerous looking weapons. They are even able to break sticks and very tough-looking pieces of metal over their heads. Very impressive! We also had a picnic and walked around. It’s really nice out tonight– 85 degrees F / 30 degrees C but there’s a nice breeze and it was especially good once the sun went down.
