Thought I should post some photos from my recent trip to the world advertising festival in Cannes in the south of France. Many of you might be thinking why it’s held in the south of France, isn’t that expensive/far away? Well, if nothing else, Cannes show the power of advertising to fund an amazing boondoggle to a place like Cannes!
One of the best parts is all the celebrities we somehow persuade to speak to us at the conference (again the power of advertising!)
The folks behind the podcast “serial”, al gore, the guy from entourage, 12 years a slave and Julie Louise Dreyfus, we’re just some of the folks walking around bewildered wondering why they were in the south of France
Our agency outdid itself this year by renting a boat for all our client meetings! If you have to work the weekends, you might as well be doing it on a boat!
Best of all for us folks from Chicago, our agency won a bunch of awards for our ads
And while we had a great night celebrating these wins, we obviously treated these awards with great reverence and respect:
But, besides all the industry self congratulations, Cannes itself is a really pretty town that I’d highly recommend (especially if someone else is paying)
