We got an email from Liam in Tanzania today! I thought you all might hearing about his trip as much as we did. He said that all is going great there. They are staying in a Masai village and built a boma. In case you were wondering what a boma is, me too! I look forward to hearing more from Liam about that. In the meantime, Wikipedia has a very informative entry about what boma are: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boma_%28enclosure%29
He said the Masai people sacrificed a goat for them, which was very nice. And that the food is really good.
He’s also liking the people on the trip with him — one of whom lives two doors down from him in the dorm but whom he just met!
Looking forward to hearing more!
That is such an amazing experience to have at 18 years of age….Wow!!!
I agree, it’s great that he is getting to do this!
Glad to hear from Liam! This is an experience like no other.
Great to hear how Liam’s getting on. I tgink he might catch the travel bug after this (if he doesnt have it already)!
Given his direct and wider family, he has a fair shot at catching it! Be v excited to hear how he gets on, we loved Tanzania though I’m not sure I could get Frankie to stay in a Maasai village 🙂
We’ll be sure to get his full report of the luxury features available in the village for Frankie!
Great to hear how liam is doing-wonderful experience for him.
Thanks for the update! It’s such a great experience. I’ll be curious, like Colette, if Liam has the travel bug now. I look forward to hearing more about his trip soon. Off to look up boma now.
