The clematis in our front yard bloomed this weekend, signaling the start of another school year! Two nice surprises were that the clematis recovered from whatever traumatic event happened to it over winter (Chiberia!) and that Liam was back over the weekend!
Liam is enjoying life at UIUC, or U of I, or just Illinois. He’s had a good if introductory first week of classes, and is really enjoying having a bike. He’s become with a couple of kids who also enjoy biking and they spend free time exploring the area by bike. They cycled out to the outer limits of Urbana, where the soybean fields start on Friday evening. Liam took this picture.
Sebi came over on Sunday to hang out with Liam too. Here are the back to school bros before Liam went to catch his train.
Then we got a traditional back to school photo with miles and Liam by the clematis.
Then just miles! And one of miles and me just for fun.

We enjoyed seeing the photos! Had not heard the term “Chiberia” before–Googled it. I love a good descriptive word.
Your looking good Miles and Mom and Liam of course.
Hope next school term is a happy one for you Miles.
Bit late for Clematis to bloom with us but its alway nice to see.
Isaac & Isabelle think that Sebi looks like Teago silvia (captain of the Brazilian team)
james thinks he looks like Bobby a boy in his class
Will let Sebi know he’s got doppelgangers all over the world! He is half Argentinian, and loyalty to his family was one reason we were supporting Argentina in the world cup!
Miles seems to be gaining on Liam height-wise!
