It’s funny how in the photo it appears smaller now it’s empty? Hope day 2 is less terrifying!
I think the gravel is creating some kind of horrible optical illusion! The garden looks tiny and like we filled it completely with gravel! I asked the contractor about this and it turns out the patio will indeed be 10′ by 15′, not 12′ by 15′, which is the space the gravel is taking up. They need to put the side pieces into gravel, so they spread more then pick up the extra. Day 2 is better — not to leave you in too much suspense but I will post a photo in the (or should I say Chicago’s) morning!
