We went to a performance at Millenium Park today of a theatrical group called Australia’s Strange Fruit. It was so cool. These 4 performers stood on tall poles and swooned all around, with a simple little story about love and some great music to tie it all together. Beautiful!
Note to the West family–Thomas would make a fantastic addition to this group if they are looking for a child acrobat / performer. These performers shimmied up the poles to get into position nimbly, and we immediately thought of Thomas’s skills in that area!
Liam took this picture of me. As you can see we were lucky to get a shady spot! Next to us in the shade was an Austrian couple who were taking pictures of the performers, using 2 tripods. One tripod was for the camera and the other had a Barbie clamped in it by the feet. Miles whispered to me that maybe the man was pretending the Barbie was like the Australia’s Strange Fruit performers, tied by her legs to a platform.
Not sure what the link is with Australia but looks like fun!
Good point, I looked them up and should have included this link. The movie gives a much better sense of the show! They are from Melbourne, maybe you can see them in Sydney sometime!

Looks fantastic and pretty hot there too.
That performance looks like a lot of fun! Liam takes some really nice candid pictures, too.
It was hot! I would have been in trouble without that hat!
Thomas (and the whole West Family) appreciate
your kind words! Maybe we could recreate the show at Newberry for the 150th…
