National Looped Trail at Howth

Going back now to catch up with photos we took in Ireland, here are
some pics from Day 2: National Loop Trail around Howth. Beautiful day
and scenery!

The shot of John coming out of Ann’s has a story behind it. We used to
get coffee on Howth from the Coffee Angel, a guy set up with a mobile
unit of incredible 3-wheeled design. Ann’s, which sells terrible
coffee, protested he was taking her business and he lost permission to
sell coffee there. So we’ve been on a “boycott” of Ann’s for some time
(easy to do when you live in Chicago 🙂 However on this day, we were
thirsty and sent John out for drinks and there was no where else to
buy a drink. John had to go into Ann’s and so we decided to snap a
picture of him breaking the boycott.

  1. Those are some beautiful pictures from Howth. The place with all the fern reminds me of the peninsula at Kinsale. There probably are many such places in Ireland.
Did you give Ann another chance at making you coffee, or did you get different beverages? Seems like Ann would have missed your business during the prolonged boycott, and tried to do better. 🙂
