When we heard that it was 45.8 degrees C in Sydney yesterday, we rushed to the handy Celsius / Fahrenheit converter that Miles made in kindergarten to see if that is as hot as it sounds. It is! Whew, a whopping 110 degrees F!!!
Fortunately for Colette and Colman, and everyone else in Australia, it seems to have cooled off. Right now it looks like it’s a very comfortable 72F / 22C.
Love the ready reckoner! Yes it was incredibly hot bit thankfully not humid. Huge bush fires around the state but hopefully these cooler temps and some rain today will get them under control. Think the only other time I was in 110 degrees was in Chicago that first time we visited… Didn’t know what had hit us!
I’m not disputing the accuracy of your converter but I just checked online and 45.8 = 114.44 Fahrenheit!!
Oh, I think the converter could use some calibration! 114.44, that is seriously hot! Glad it has cooled down since!
