Second graders at Newberry went on a walking field trip to the zoo today. It was pouring at first, but we waited a bit then just went in the rain. We saw a wolf family, with the mom wolf carrying a baby wolf in her mouth (as Miles tells it, at first we thought she was carrying her lunch…) Also the lions were roaring a lot, and we saw some amazing monkey gymnastics.
