We had a great time last weekend in Michigan, between Holland and Grand Haven. We were near Port Sheldon for those of you who want to look it up on your Rand McNally atlas or on www.randmcnally.com.
We brought our bikes so that we could go on the Grand Haven to Holland bike trail. We took three rides that were about 10 miles each. Miles did great! I think he's ready for the 25 mile apple cider century ride later this month!
Liam in the kayak and Miles being towed. That water was cold!
Enjoying someone else's frontage. Viva Chicago, where the lakefront is public! The bluffs are really high and steep here and people have built very steep, 100+ step staircases up to their houses. We saw 2 cable car like things that carry people up and down!
This sea kayak came with the house we rented. The kayak was a lot of fun out in the lake.
"This is the most buried in sand I've ever been," said Miles.
Emily and Miles, escape from the sand.
Looks like fun – can’t imagine how cold that water must be though!
