Well it wasn’t the chant we wanted to hear from the doctor today but yes, miles will have the big cast on for another 3 weeks, so a total of 4. Then he’ll get a short cast for 2 weeks, then a splint. Turns out the er doctors don’t relay the same messaging! The bright side is he got it rewrapped so now it has no sharp edges, and he got to choose a color: incredible hulk green!
Dont know how you feel Miles but you look very smart in the Irish green.
Hang in there-you wont feel the weeks till its removed.
The green color is very nice, Miles! If you have to have a cast, it’s good to be able to choose a color.
Like the choice of colour! At least it’ll be long gone for Christmas!
Colette
Oh & I bet you were all happy about the 4 more years aswell!
Thanks, everyone! They have a really wide range of colors. Miles wanted one that would be light enough to show all his friends’ signatures (navy blue was out for that reason.) It was disappointing at first to realize he wouldn’t get the cast off but now he’s very used to it and is sleeping fine. And yes, Colette, very happy about the 4 more years and many good things that came out of this election!
You look very happy in your green cast, Miles 🙂 You’ll have to post another picture with it all decorated up with signatures. How’s writing with it without being able to bend your elbow, and probably having somewhat limited hand movement? I think I’d have a hard time doing things like eating and general stuff with only my left hand. I would really not be able to play Frisbee at all. And I wouldn’t be able to throw a football…but then again, I’ve never been able to throw a football with either hand 🙂 Hopefully you’re more ambidextrous than I am. If you aren’t yet, I bet you will be in 4 weeks!
